Born April 21, 1895, in Minneapolis, Minnesota; died August 15, 1971. Professor of economics, author. Peter T. Swanish began his distinguished career as a professor of economics at Loyola University Chicago in 1921. He earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University in 1924 and a Ph. D. from the University of Chicago in 1930, writing his dissertation on "The Taxation of Agricultural Classes in Soviet Russia".
